About us
Nom de Plume Analytique is a small boutique studio. We were founded in Queens, New York City, and we have roots in Greece and Crete.
Who we are
We are Nom de Plume Analytique Inc., a New York corporation, formed in 2026. Games come first. Our first game is a tavli game for phones and tablets. See the game.
The pictures, the sounds and the voices in our game are all our own. We record the voices ourselves, with friends.
Why tavli?
Tavli is a game for talking. In a Greek café the old men play it for hours. They tease each other and argue about every roll.
We wanted a game that feels like sitting down at that table.
Where we are going
We plan to make other digital things too: websites and web design, apps and software for businesses, statistics and data analysis for other businesses, and other digital writing. These are plans. We do not offer them yet.
Why that name?
A nom de plume is a pen name: the name a writer puts on their work. We added analytique because we care about the numbers. That means fair dice, and opponents that play by the rules.
What we promise in our game
- Fair dice. Every roll comes from a secure random source. Nothing ever adjusts it.
- No ad networks, no tracking. The first version of the game collects nothing about you. Read the privacy statement.
- No gambling tricks. No coins to bet, no loot boxes and no made-up money.
- Nothing interrupts a game.
